What is PRODAO?
PRODAO AssistantPRODAO is a self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet that runs on Prodao Mainnet, an EVM-compatible blockchain. You hold and manage your assets directly from your own wallet and control your own keys.
Is PRODAO self-custodial?
PRODAO AssistantYes. Your assets stay in your own wallet, and only your private key can move them. PRODAO can't move your funds, and if you lose your key or recovery phrase, no one can recover access.
Is PRODAO fully decentralized?
PRODAO AssistantNot fully. You control your own keys, but Prodao Mainnet is a permissioned network with operator controls — the bridge has an owner role, a relayer allowlist, and a pause function. It's best described as self-custodial with operator-managed infrastructure.
What is VKEY?
PRODAO AssistantVKEY is PRODAO's platform token. Holding a threshold amount in your wallet unlocks Premium. It's issued on Prodao Mainnet when you deposit supported assets through the bridge.
How do I get VKEY?
PRODAO AssistantYou deposit a supported asset (ETH, USDT, or USDC) on Ethereum through the bridge. The deposit's US-dollar value determines how much VKEY is issued to your wallet on Prodao Mainnet, after a 3% maintenance fee.
How do I bridge assets into PRODAO?
PRODAO AssistantDeposit a supported asset (ETH, USDT, or USDC) on Ethereum and pay the network gas fee. After the deposit confirms on-chain, VKEY is issued to your wallet on Prodao Mainnet. It's not instant — it completes after confirmation.
What are the fees?
PRODAO AssistantBridging in takes a 3% maintenance fee, capped at the equivalent of 1,000 USD per deposit. Bridging out has a tiered exit fee of 0.045%–0.3% based on your tier and how long you've held. Ethereum network gas is separate.
How does Premium membership work?
PRODAO AssistantPremium is holding-based. The app reads your wallet's on-chain VKEY balance directly. Hold at least 49,500 VKEY and you have Premium; below that, Standard. There's no subscription and no stored membership record — your on-chain balance is your status.
What happens if my balance drops below the threshold?
PRODAO AssistantYour account returns to Standard automatically. Because status is read live from your on-chain balance, restoring 49,500 VKEY reactivates Premium automatically. There's no penalty or lockout.
Is my VKEY locked up?
PRODAO AssistantNo. There's no lock-up. Your VKEY stays in your own wallet and you can move it any time. Premium is based on holding the threshold amount, not on locking or staking it.
Can a company give Premium to its employees?
PRODAO AssistantYes. Since Premium depends only on a wallet's VKEY balance, a company can send at least the threshold amount to each employee's own wallet. Once their wallet holds enough VKEY, it has Premium — no separate sign-up. The tokens stay in each employee's own wallet.
What are the main risks?
PRODAO AssistantSelf-custody: you're responsible for your private key. Bridge risk: moving assets across chains relies on the bridge contracts and an operator-run relayer. Operator controls: Prodao Mainnet is permissioned, with an owner role and a pause function. Value and liquidity: VKEY is issued at a fixed internal rate, and outbound transfers can be affected by available liquidity.
Can PRODAO freeze or take my funds?
PRODAO AssistantThe assets in your own wallet are self-custodial — only your private key can move them, and PRODAO can't transfer them. However, the bridge is operator-controlled, with an owner role and a pause function, so bridge operations can be paused or altered by the operator.
Which assets and networks are supported?
PRODAO AssistantFor bridging in, the supported deposit assets are ETH, USDT, and USDC on Ethereum. VKEY is then issued on Prodao Mainnet, which is EVM-compatible.
